Is there a list of ROM names for all the adult games in a complete ROM set? I need to take them off or hide them so my son doesn't accidentally play Miss Nude World '96 or one of the 10,000 Mahjong games by accident.
I know some of the front ends separate the adults into a category that you can hide, but the front end I am using does not, and besides...I want to print it out so I can manually move the roms somewhere else.

They are all the games with *mature* in the title.
With lazarus, you could make *mature* list. Figure out which .lst file it is, and you have your list of roms.
BTW, do you think he could really figure out how to play majong games and their many controls in japanese???? hehe

Most can handle it.
Jfront you set all your indexes to -*MATURE* (I think... can't remember).
so it's something like this +Fighter -*MATURE* favorite>5
will get all your favorite non-mature fighter games

There is also a program called MAME CONTENT Manager that will use the catver.ini (or a variant) to rename or delete these for you. It's actually one of the Mameworld sites, but they have no links to it on their main page! I use it and it's nice because you can rename the adult roms from adult.zip to adult.xxx . They are now "hidden" and you can easily see which are which. Here's the link:

Be sure you get the right Catver.ini, I think the program hasn't been updated in awhile and the catver.ini structure changed. There is a link on the page to where you can get the right catver.ini format. I know the regular one doesn't work anymore. Hope this helps....

I'm in the process of adding CatVer support to my FE, along with relevant extra filters.
I was thinking more like I could hide everything BUT adult games tho ;) LOL

Check out the catsort program on the old rd hompage... It sorts ALL of your roms into multiple folders but you can put them back afterwards.

Just wanted to poke my head in and say, "thanks for posting this thread" As I was about to post the same question.
I get enough flack (not really, but for the sake of humor) for spending all my free time in the basement either working on or playing on my wip cabinet... if she thought I was down there looking at pixelated nudey/ta-ta pictures she'd be even less understanding =)
Plus eventually the nieces and nephews will come over... and most of the adult games have crappy gameplay... "oooh I uncovered a boob, big whoop" *shrug*
Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for the informative thread... it seems like some of the links would help me if I wanted to organize my romset by type or year as well...

I used Howard's deal. I can find them all easily now and the kids can't.
