Title: Mamewah 1.5 INI files
Post by: Goz on November 01, 2004, 08:35:29 am
I need a little assistance. I am attempting to configure Project64 and VisualBoyAdance to launch from MAMEWAH 1.5

I have been through the FAQ's and read the write ups on  screenshot archive  (http://www.screenshotarchive.com) and the  Mamewah setup page (http://www.mamewah-setup.co.uk/html/info_settings.html) which is geared towards the earlier version.

I have been unsuccessfull on getting either app to launch from Mamewah and they work perfectly well from their own GUI's.

Can someone please forward me a copy of their working INI files for these two emulators so I can try to piece together what I am missing.

Thanks in advance,

-Goz

Also, use MAMEWAH v1.52 (download it from my site), and then overwrite it with the fixed version from: http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=10481&page=0&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1

Make sure you edit the ini files you download though, thye're not really "clean" files, they're just right off the author's cabinet so you have to fix/customize them to your liking. For example if I remember right it's got iPack related stuff in them and I don't have an iPak.
Still a great starting point though.

Yeah namely change emulator_executable, rom_path and artwork_x_image_path.

ipc_file_or_path etc. shouldn't matter too much, as it will be ignored if the file/folder doesn't exist.  Removing any stuff which doesn't apply is a good idea tho.
