this is probably a dumb question and I might get flamed but what kind of bit do you use for T-molding and where do I get one? I've been to Lowe's and they dont have anything like it...
-
I asked the exact same question before....
here is a link to that thread....

but I used a dremel tool instead of a router....
hope it helps....

The right bit is called a slot cutter. Home depot has them, you want the 1/16 inch size. You also need to get the arbor, which is the shaft the bit mounts on. The manufacturer is Oldham. The job will take just a few minutes with this bit instead of a dremel, and will be perfectly straight. Wear some gloves, though, your skin will get sand-blasted with wood, no joke! It looks like this:

cool! thanks! Lowes didnt seem to have the blades or the arbor... I was thinking I could use a bolt for one if I could just find the blade, but I'll check Home Depot...

I couldn't find one locally, so I bought mine online here:

I used a circular saw nice and straight, fast and the perfect sized slot.

I purchased mine from Coastal Tools, too. I think I hit nearly every Home Depot in the Metro Detroit area, and not one had slot cutters. I never even talked to an employee who knew what they were. :)
Coastal ships fast, too. I've purchased from them 3 times now, and my order shows up 2 days after I place it.
