Title: HTPC MAME
Post by: stiffarmleft on October 27, 2004, 02:06:58 pm
Here is a MAME front end plugin for Windows Media Edition http://htpcnews.com/main.php?id=mcemame_1 (http://htpcnews.com/main.php?id=mcemame_1).  In the article he states that mamewah is hard to configure, which I disagree with.

Of course.  He has to make it sound difficult so that his plug-in seems like the ultimate solution.  Luckily it's geared toward an entirely different group of people than here.

fwiw,

I've seen myHTPC used in conjunction with mamewah.. on my buddy's cocktail... He uses mamewah, but when he wants his cocktail to playback mp3's or video clips or photoalbum or what have you he launches myHTPC via mamewah.

also SageTV, has a hidden undocumented MAME frontend built in that can be enabled...

Im sure there's  GOT to be a plugin for mythTV or freevo to act as a frontend (or call an exisiting linux MAME frontend).

*shrug*
