For the list generation / custom list problem, I released a small fixed version yesterday:

Thank you!

Thanks Minwah! :)

I upgraded to the 1.52 fix from 1.50 and on my Windows XP computer the black box that shows -
Loading:
Game Name
It used to just flash when exiting a game to MameWah.
Now it shows up for about a second and a half. It's about the same amount of time as when it's loading a game. It's just a minor annoyance seeing "Loading" when I just exited the game.

Strange, I don't see it at all. I'll see if there's anything I can do...

quarterstringer:
I think I may have fixed this...difficult for me to tell as I didn't really have the problem - let me know if you'd like me to email you a WIP version to try...
-
Thanks MinWah,
I'll test it out. BTW, I tried it out on a computer with 98SE and there was no problem.

Send it to quarterstringer@yahoo.com

Mail sent...if I don't reply (if you email me back) PM me here - yahoo are on my blocked email list (I think I un-blocked yours tho).

The fixed worked! :)
I don't see the black box at all now, when exiting a game.
Thanks, MinWah.

I don't see the black box at all now, when exiting a game.
Excellent! :)
I am thinking of making a slight extension to this for my own purposes...when I quit a game on my cab I often see the main MAMEWAH screen briefly, but really small in the top/left corner of the screen (while resolution is switching basically). I might try to mask this with a black screen, until after the resolution has switched...

I see the same thing on one of my systems. A mask would be a great addition.

yes, it happens for most of the PC games on my cab, fixing it would be great!

Well...the mask doesn't seem to work (I have tried it before actually, just had some new-found confidence!). Basically Windows seems to decide what it shows, and where and when, regardless how I go about it.
But I have I solution...kindof - atm it means having a plain black desktop with no icons. For me this isn't a problem on my cab as I have it like this anyway...

Actually it now seems to work for my PC monitor OK, but I didn't really have a problem on that anyway. Black desktop still required with AVGA & 15khz screen tho...
