Title: Power Button Idea. Untested.
Post by: JesterDEV on September 15, 2002, 11:13:10 pm
I was just messing around while watching tv, and attatched my power button from my pc to a button that came with my cab with super glue. I used a leaf button(I think thats what its called). I just bent some of the unused connecters down and super glued it in between the leafs(?). Now when I press the button, it also presses the power button! I also had to spread the leafs a bit so it wasnt always pressing it down.

I havent tested it out yet, but I think its going to work. Anyway, its just an idea for those wanting some sort of outside the cab power button. I'll get some pics later if anyone wants them.

I can't quite figure out what you're describing here...  But if you need an external power button, it's easy to just run extension wires from the PC  power button to a button anywhere on your cab, especially if you're using an ATX case.  A regular arcade button should work.  I wouldn't suggest super glueing your wires together, solder works much better.   ::)

And here I was thinking I did something ingenious!
Atleast I was impressed with it.  :P

But yes your right, it would be better to do it the
way you explained.
