Zinc 1.0.1 (http://www.emuhype.com/index.phtml?s=news) has also been released and matches the 0.88 roms. Among other things, it also adds support for rotating monitors.

just curious, what will happend when mame reaches 1.0?  will the world stop or something?

Works for me, in fact all I need is see this title and head straight over the MAME main page to read about it and download it. It's just that I read this forum on a regular basis rather than monitor the MAME web page.
I do end up reading this thread (boviously) but mostly to see in anyone ran into any issue.

Have the Simpsons Bowling audio problems been fixed in the latest version of MAME?
