anyone have any sites, or suggestions what type of pc i should get.. mame says 900mhz will play street fighter etc..... anyone?

400 mhz+ and mame version .55 is the budget mamer combo of choice. A 400 mhz comp will run every game supported in that version at full speed.
Oh and for the record, Street Fighter 2 will run on a Pentium 90 with Callus.

I have .87 and I am running SF2 witout noticable artifacts on a 700 mHz with 128 megs of ram and on-board video.
However, here is a faster box for a great price:

and another one.

Both of these machines are under $300 and will run Mame great.

I'm taking the same type of approach for a couple of single player bartops....operating on a bit of a budget so as to not go overboard.
I've been testing with some p3 667 and p3 866 based systems using flexatx Intel boards with onboard vid and sound + 128 and also 256 mem.
These have run all I have tested thus far in terms of game play well.
I tossed these together with parts onhand in combination with a few 10-15 dollar pics off Ebay for motherboards and and an extra CPU.

I used a 1 ghz that a friend wasn't using worked great. I went to the nearest mom and pop shop and they litterly are just throwing old hardrives out. The most exspensive thing was the ram because of age. Oh and the powersupply. Ask around your nieghborhood! you would be surprised how fast people will just hand you old crappy computers.
