i have mamewah setup to display both title screens and videos - this is working great except...
only the top half for the videos are being displayed?
i am using the default (640x480) layout
is this because the text info relating to the game is being displayed in the botton right of the screen (where bottom half of the video would be displayed)?
can i get the whole video displayed in the area where titles are being displayed?
-
The video should just be displayed in the same area as the images, assuming you have movie_artwork_no set to 1.
Maybe try a different layout to see if it makes any difference...

i played around with the classic 640 x 480 layout (moved stuff around and resized) - but videos still dont seem to be displaying fully. just the top half of the videois displayed. could this be something to do with version of media player that is installed? i have vanilla XP Pro installed.

Are the videos stretched vertically, as well as cut off?

Are you using a older arcadevga card?
If so turn down your hardware acceleration under your video card options.

yes i am using old avga
please can you remind me where to adjust the acceleration - i can't seem to find it in XP Pro
minwah: the horizontal is ok its the vertical that seems to have been truncated in half - the vertical could be stretched not sure but it just doesnt look quite right. will post photo later

I know you are trying to show a problem, but dude, that looks so sweet!
I ordered an arcadevga card the other day!!

Turning off/down video hardware acceleration should fix the problem I believe (sorry I can't remember how to do it either, search this board, it has come up before I think)...
Paige: ArcadeVGA really is sweet, you'll love it :)

Yeah minwah, I can't wait. The only thing is that I can't decide what to use it on. I have a 29" Candy JAMMA cabinet, but I also have an extra 29" monitor and had done quite a bit of work to a huge cocktail that it would fit in, and then there is still the option of trying to pick up a deluxe cabinet with missing monitor at the auction this weekend.
Whatever I pick it will be running mamewah!

Like everything there is a million ways to do things, here's one:
Note: this should only need to be done for the older ArcadeVGA's
1. Right Click on Windows Desktop
2. Click on Settings Tab
3. Click on Advanced Button
4. Click on Troubleshooting Tab.
5. Slide the Slider one notch down.
