go buy a a/v or coaxial video imput (tvtuner) and get a a/v or coaxial out put for your cabinet not only can u use tv your computer will accept any imputs that would noirmally goto your tv as for using your arcade stick with multiple systems have it set up so the controlers to the buttons them selves are on a big plug mabey a parallel and plug 9into the interface you want then make a deep box for your mcontro,lls and store the extra interfaces there :) there ya go a aRCADE AND ALL SYSTEM PLUS THE POSIBILITY OF A VCR SYSTEM YUP PUT UR BIG TV IN THE CAB TOO! ALOT LESS THEN A MONITOR

Heh ;D He just realized if he uses a TV in his cainet, he can switch to watching regular TV/VHS/DVD if he hooked up a switch box.

That's great! Excuse me for being sarcastic.. but that's a big "duh" there. We all knew that. It's great that it finally sunk in for you though. That's kind of one of the reasons we use tv's in our cabs... so we can watch tv and play dvds too. :)

Why would you want to watch movies on your cab ??? Doesn''t seem very authentic to me. Not to be a purist or anything... BTW, you can watch DVDs on your PC anyway if you have a DVD rom, no matter WHAT monitor you're using.
But seriously, nullb0y, put your cab on hold awhile and buy some punctuation. Your posts will be much more productive that way.

I dont' have a TV... but have a DVD player in my computer...
But my monitor is on a slant... and makes it very hard to watch on. If I had a 'normal' cabinet I would have LOVED this! I would have made it my only entertainment cabinet.

Look, please, I know capital letters and spelling might not be your thing, but PLEASE for the love of god put a PERIOD at the end of each thought, maybe even a comma once in awhile! It would be much easier to understand you like this:

yeah 1UP that made a lot more sense! ;D Actually I think he means get a TV tuner card in your computer so u can run the console into the computer and then back out to the TV, my question is why not just run the console straight to the TV and not sacrifice any picture quallity! ;D

1st: I agree. More, better placed punction por favore.
2nd: You could accomplish a simliar feat without doing the vid in/vid out of the PC with an external AV box of some sort to the TV (it cuts the signal over to whatever is active).
*Shrug* too tired to go on further... but you get the idea.

well if i suceed in getting a cab and a pc together. i will eventually get a OUTPUT CABle. but for now its a 15inch monitor from the early 90s lol mmm 386!

At your local wallmart you can buy an av switchbox for about 20$... it's small and allows you to select about 8 devices. I used to do video caprtue and I can assure you that hooking it through your pc and back out again will cause picture degredation. It's best to use a switchbox at the tv instead.

If your going to do it right...
1) Get a ATI VIVO card. Most will do just fine (doesn't have to be the latest unless you want 3d stuff...
2) plug your other TV inputs into the computer... and the computer into the TV.
WHY?
TIVO support! digital recording is GREAT! especially for being able to pause live action TV and continue watching.
You can do this with some of the nicer NVidia cards also

Nope those are great quality for analog to digital (vcr/tv/whatever to pc.) They are HORRIBLE quality for analog to digital to analog. (vcr/tv/whatever to pc back to tv.) It's basic electronics knowledge that whenever you convert a signal from one thing to another that it looses quality. After two conversions it can get pretty sh*tty.
