Title: very specific question
Post by: 00Slevin on October 22, 2004, 12:04:45 am
first of all, i am a extream noob, I purchased a old cablinate. it is the original mortal combat cabinate. my question is, has anyone else converted this cabinate for their projects and if so, did the use a tv as the monitor. i was hoping to use a 24 inch tv for it and am worried it wont fit. i dont have access to it right now (long story) it is at my folks house and i cant measure it. i know this is a long shot but hey what the heck, it is worth a shot

Use the search.

There are very few cabinets (note the proper spelling is cabinet) that will not take a 24" monitor, yours should take one.

Mortal Kombat cabinets are very popular for this, also realize that it is more likely that you have some other cabinet labeled as mortal kombat, and not an actual mortal kombat. You should post a picture. The reason I say this is that a real mortal kombat cabinet is going to have a 25" monitor in it to begin with.

yes it is the old mortal combat cabinet. it actually has been painted and i sanded it away to reveal the mortal combat painting on the side. it also has the serial number for mortal combat and all the manuals. the last game in it was wrestlemaina lol. but i dont want to put an arcade monitor in it i wanted to mount a tv in it as it is more in my price range. but thanks for the search idea. i will do.
