Title: How to wire up the terminals on Wico 4-way?
Post by: spidermonkey on September 15, 2002, 12:36:55 am
Hey Guys,
I just got a Wico 4-way stick (leaf style) for my cp and unlike my happ microswitch sticks it only has two terminals per switch and none of them are labeled. Which terminal on each switch do I use for ground and which one goes to my i-pac? Im pretty sure that it doesn't make a difference but I just wanted to check with you guys to make absolutely sure.
Thanks

It doesn't make a difference.  If this is an old joystick you may need to clean the contacts.  To do this, take a pencil with a pink eraser (or any pink eraser) and erase where the two metal leaves touch.

Thanks J.M. I didn't think so but you can never be too cautious. Thanks for that cleaning tip too.I just tried it and it cleaned up the leaf tabs real nice.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the joystick from? 4-way Wicos are really hard to find these days.

Thanks in advance
