Ok this is going to be long (sorry) and it could be something small and stupid on my part, but.... I've tried and tried but I'm still having problems setting this up.
This is my Mamewah.ini and MAME.ini files (with the MAME.EXE and ROM locations out--they work fine, took them out so as to eliminate them as part of the problem).

MAMEWAH launches fine and my layout is working great, but when the videos go to launch, the first one works fine but the rest show junk on the screen. At some points, it looks like it has the windows start menu open flickering back and forth. After rebooting the PC and reloading MAMEWAH, the first video is fine and then the crap. I have upgraded my video drives (older NVIDIA card not on board), updated the DirectX and installed all the system files the FAQ says to.....
HELP!!!!
Could someone who has this running lend me a hand and put me on the right path (or just slap me in the back of the head). Thanks.

So you mean the movie screensaver (your subject implies mame preview's to me)?
-
sorry.... yea the movie screen saver....
-
Hmmm seems to work fine for me...
What do you mean by showing 'junk'? What OS are you running?
-
PIII 600
512 mg
Win 2K
The first movie will launch fine, then when the seconds movie (or when I interrupt it and the screensaver launches again) it will show either a screen shot of the previous movie or a color screen both of which begin flashing (almost like when the ROMs launch and go through thier self tests). I can still hear sound, but the video is all screwed up. In some instances, I can almost make out what looks like the start menu open within the flashing screen. The videos themselves are ok, I can play them through windows media player. I'll try another computer and video combo to see if that might be it..... thanks for all and any help.

That's really wierd...I have no idea what is causing that ??? Sorry I can't be more help.
-
ok... I tried it on a new system here at work :
2.2 gh
512 mg
XP
And it works fine.... I just don't understand what could be wrong with the other system..... oh well, I knew it had to be something I was doing....lol..... Thank Minwah.

I doubt it is something you are doing...you can't really go wrong there. I expect it must be a Win2k issue, but I don't have a 2k machine to try it on...

ok... then I guess I could try XP or 98 on the other machine and see how that goes.... thanks.
