Title: jamma galaga pcb
Post by: danny_galaga on October 19, 2004, 12:30:05 am
just a couple of questions on galaga. i saw the other day a jamma galaga pcb. from my limited understanding, the jamma style connectors came in the late 80's. so either this pcb is from later on (some sorta re-issue or something) or namco were one of the earlier proponents of the jamma style. which is it?

also, does anyone know if that classic galaga cab style was the type used in australia? i cant remember from back in the day (gettin a bit senile  :-[) . i really like that style but if it didnt appear in australia then im thinking i could make an exact replica. then the jamma pcb would be pretty useful. as well it would make it easy to pop in a few different jamma pcb's from time to time...

That is a new board.  There are some JAMMA bootlegs out there as well, including copies of the Ms Pac/ Galaga reunion board.

I would like to find an inexpensive  JAMMA Galaga board, but there are no such things.  :P

It could either be a newer bootleg, or an older board with an adapter to make it JAMMA. Did you see a photo?

thanks for input. photo didn't look like it had any adapter, just the edge connector on one side.
