Title: Mamewah and png screenshots
Post by: Popcorrin on October 16, 2004, 09:07:41 pm
I set up mamewah on a W2K machine and I am unable to get PNG screenshots to display. BMP screenshots work fine.  Can someone tell me what the easiest fix would be?  Thanks

Weird! All of my console shots are in .png format, and I've had no trouble...

It's weird you should mention this.  I use MAMEWAH .97 with Win XP Pro and my PNG screenshots show up fine.  However, I am using Win98 on my bartop and could not get them to show up.  I didn't feel like troubleshooting too much so I just decided to use GameLauncher and the pics show up fine.

Anyone else have any ideas on this?  Does mamewah have an internal viewer for screenshots or does it use a windows program to display them?

Install the system files from my downloads page - a DLL is required to decode PNG's.

I have installed the system files twice and it still doesn't seem to work. :-\

Try doing: Start > Run > regsvr32 paintx.dll

Hopefully you should get a 'succeeded' message - then try MW again...
