Title: advmame .87 taking forever to load.

I'm running advmame on a dos 7 system,1.3Ghz Celeron, 384 meg of ram , sbpci, and a radeon 9200 video card, Thru a jpac into a happs vision pro 19" 15k monitor.

The only problem I'm having is that advmame takes along time to load.
about 25 seconds after you hit enter from the command line.

i.e.

advmame galaga

The load time is about the same off the hard drive or off a ram disk.

Any suggestions?

I've manualy set the sound card, so it's not that, and the video modes are hard set for each game in advmame.rc also.
