Title: Need a replacement speaker, google has left me dry so far
Post by: NIVO on October 13, 2004, 04:59:52 pm
i have a logitech z-340 set, one of the sats is dead, was givin to me free.  The speaker in the sat is 2" shielded 4ohm 5w. I cannot locate exactly what i need here. Also have contacted logitech and they wont sell me a replacement speaker. Could anyone point me in the right direction please? thanks for the help(if anyone has a dead logitech set, but the sat speaker is working, would you want to sell the speaker only?)

thanks for the link, ill look into it.

Also, yes going into a project, have tried using other mini peaker from other cheaper sets and they are plain garbage, not worth spit in terms of quality on higher volume levels.

You might also consider ditching the satellites and replacing them with couple of 4-5" shielded speakers and hacking those into the amplifier board of your existing system and of course keeping the subwoofer.

thank you very much for the offer, I have to decline though as I got my speakers in from partsexpress. Man what a difference, I may do this to all my sets of logitechs. Thanks again.
