Hey all,
I saw on the ATI website that you can get a dongle that will allow you to output component video. In theory this is a step up from S-video.
Has anyone tried this? I'm curious since I already have a Radeon 8500 card and this might influence my TV vs. other options decision.
Here's a link to the product page:

This should and will work beautifully as it doesn't involve any conversion. If I am looking at the dongle properly it hooks up to the lcd out on the radeon. All of the seperated signals used in component out are already present in lcd out, there is just some extra crap. As there isn't any mixed signals that have to be filtered off, it should be perfect component out. Plus it's ati, so no quality problems there.
