Sounds like the board is fried/defective. :-\
A defective Pelican stick? SHOCK! :o
I'd try hacking a Universal Real Arcade instead. Since it uses arcade style parts it's a snap and they're not that much more expensive.

What he said. :)
I have the guts of 4 Pelican Real Arcades in my cabinet, and they use standard arcade parts inside, so there is very little "hack" involved.

i know theres very little hack but is there something i did wrong that would cause this issue? at first i thought it was a ground problem so i rewired it and it worked ! but tested it this morning and back to the same problem...
so u guys think its fried???? ???
