Hi Folks,

I'm starting my new project :

See the progress here : http://www.dragonslair.be (http://www.dragonslair.be)

I need some help about joyticks please... Can you help me to name the Gauntlet Legends Joysticks ? Possible to use them as a 4 or 8ways Joy' ?

Thanks ;D

Wow man, I can't argue with the love for Dragon's Lair and Space Ace, but don't cut up that awesome Gauntlet machine.

Destroying a machine for MAME or Daphne goes against the whole purpose of those projects... Preserve Arcade Life!

Find a DEAD cab... or even better, a non working DL or Space Ace and make that a dedicated Daphne machine.

That would rock so hard.

If you look at his site you'll see that he is keeping the original control panel as-is, but will be using a second panel he has for the MAME/Daphne...

don't those cabinets still sell for a ton?

You might want to sell it and build your own...

You might find that you could finance your entire cabinet + parts.

I strongly agree, don't destroy a working arcade machine that looks nice for a mame cabinet, go buy some MDF .......

I didn't read up on your website, but I hope you'll be changing those phillips head screws/bolts out with carriage bolts.  After you chew your hand up on them, I think you'll know why you should.

Why didn't you put the overlay on before installing all those controls?

Simple, because I knew I had to wait severals weeks for receiving T-Molding and the T-Molding slot cutter assembly from US... Remember, I'm from Belgium and most of arcade parts used are coming right away from US

Thanks the3eyedblindman ,

When I got this cab, the condition was really good, and it would be a crime to transform without being able to go back at any time... Yes I can revert it to the dedicated condition... I have so many Gauntlet Legends spare items now 8) 8) 8)

Hi Will,

I would like to found a spare Control Panel front sticker, or maybe a repro to cover the last few scratches... It would be perfect then...  ::)

But I'm really happy with that of course

great post,   I am doing almost the same thing with a Blitz/Showtime cabinet and plan on adding a Multi Jamma kit to plug in additional PCB boards... I like gauntlet legends etc (un emulated games).

its a very confusing process,  especially the control panel.... I am going to have multiple controls-- 4 -8ways, spinner, trackball, flight stick, throttle stick,  2 rotary sticks.

I am not sure how this is all going to work with a Jpac and a Ipac 4 but it looks like you got most of it to work.

thanks
Scott
