Title: cost of fabrication of cocktail cab bits
Post by: rchadd on October 11, 2004, 05:55:46 am
just wondering what going rate to get things like glass clips and control panels made out of sheet steel or aluminium would be (powder coated of course).

i realize  i probably would need to get a batch of them made at a time to make it feasible.

PS. i'm in the UK - has anyone in the UK considered/investigated doing this?

how would cost compare vs buying & shipping ready made from US from somewhere like arcadeshop?

while this example is in australia, Marcus could give you some idea on the cost of getting the clips made. mine are simpler and i made them at home. the only other part i needed were legs which cost me $67 bucks (or about 27 quid) all up for material and someone to weld them. this figure and what you can glean from marcus would give you a reasonable ballpark figure. this is marcus's work of art:
