Well, I would like to buy ArcadeVGA, but first I need to know if it's possible to use it as a normal Radeon 9200 (that output 31khz, instead of 15khz) under Windows XP. I'm asking this because I want to use two different Windows XP installations: one to play only emulators on a Arcade Monitor, and the other to play normal PC Games in high resolution using a PC Monitor. So, if I install normal Catalyst drivers under Windows XP, can I make ArcadeVGA output 31khz ?

the arcadeVGA does not support normal pc monitors.
im assuming the bios are flashed and exclude 31khz profiles as such to prevent an accidental hi res siganl from hitting your arcade monitor.

I think this is true for the bios part and DOS, but what about Windows ? At the first time you plug in the ArcadeVGA on your PC, before you install the windows drivers, don't you get 31khz inside windows ?

Nope.
Although there is of course the D9200 patch which will get you 31khz in Windows.

I can verify that it does put out 31Khz in windows xp with the d9200 patch.

Depends.
It duplicates the middle connector exactly in DOS, Linux, or before the Windows drivers are loaded, so you can run two 15khz monitors. I've tried it and it works really well - I have a separate "viewing gallery" screen for my cocktail now! Great for 4 player games or if you have a lot of people over.
Within windows, I *think* you can configure the second connector to 31Khz, but I can no longer find that info on the Ultimarc site.
