Title: Soft power-up with I-PAC
Post by: currygoat11 on October 10, 2004, 11:41:02 am
I have my BIOS setup such that I can powerdown and if I press space-bar, the computer will startup. This is not "Standby" mode but the computer actually completely shuts down the OS (linux).

so then all I gotta do is press the Space bar (specifically as set in the BIOS) and the computer powers up.

question: will the I-PAC behave similarly to a keyboard? In other words, I should be able to just press Player 1 3rd button (space bar) and have the system boot.

I would test my theory I just do not have the I-PAC and buttons wired....

Thanks

Yep, works like a charm. That's how I have my system set up.

Thanks - that's good.  I think this will eliminate the need to hook up a central power switch on the cabinet. =)
