Title: arcadeemulator.net - good guys!
Post by: nathan118 on October 07, 2004, 12:20:04 am
Just wanted to plug a good website where I bought all my joysticks, buttons, and trackball from.

http://www.arcadeemulator.net/ (http://www.arcadeemulator.net/)

Prices are great, good delivery, would do business again. Just thought I'd let the rest of you know you've got another good option!

Hey guys, I ordered from these guys a couple of weeks ago. It was a trackball, a couple of joysticks and buttons. Service seems to be solid, and i got everything in  about a week and a half I believe. Really appreciate the free CD with the artwork and stuff, that was great. I would definetly order from them again!

FYI this website is related to the ebay seller www-kidsplaythings-cc which a few members of the board have had alot of shipping delays.I decided to steer clear of them when ordering parts off of ebay because of exibar's warning.Do a search in for sale on www-kidsplaythings-cc .Just wanted to give a little warning on these guys.

Nice catch, Will.  Looks like they're probably the same people, just trying to make it look seperate.  That said, I still prefer to get my stuff from 123gumby123 and tornadoterrysdot.

I have purchased from these two a number of times and 100% agree with you.  When I need a lot of varied products at once, Bob Roberts is still my first choice, but terry can't be beat (price and delivery time) on button orders.

Side note: I'm glad this thread was just trimmed, not completely deleted.

I did realzie they were the same as the supposed kidsplaythings guys, and I realized after I made the purchase when I looked on here. I got scared thinking that I'd been taken, but low and behold I got all my parts with no problems whatsoever in a reasonable amount of time. I DID notice this on the first thread, but I figured since the service was more than acceptable I did not want to steer business away from that guy. I have a suspicion that whoever started the thread is also affiliated with them, but hey I got good service from them so I will not complain.

No, I'm not related to them in anyway. I first found him on ebay (kidsplaythings) and contacted him for a special order. He emailed me and we worked things out.

Mainly a happs reseller, but better prices than most anywhere I could find. Shipping didn't take real long, maybe a week. They communicated really well via email and sent me a USPS tracking number when they mailed it.

Only reason I posted was I'd never seen any "review" of them, so since I had a good experience, I thought I'd share. They've got tons of positives on ebay, which is why I trusted them in the first place.

It's been nearly two weeks since I've ordered from arcadeemulator.net and I am very concerned about my transaction with them. Although they are cheaper than most, the bad service makes up for it. I have been told just last week that my order will be shipped over the weekend and today I got the same answer. I am contemplating on whether or not to report them to my credit card company. I'd hate to have been defrauded.

Sounds like you're dealing with www-kidsplaythings-cc for sure.  Looks like it might be time to change the title of this thread.

I finally received my order from them and it was wrong. I was missing a button and they gave me the wrong joystick. Don't order from them.

Two weeks now for my order... I think they sent it Pony Express. Oh well lesson learned, spend an extra 20 bucks and get it in a reasonable amount of time from Happ.

I was originally going to order all my parts from that site.  Thankfully I saw this thread first.

Originally main motivator was price, but I actually got a better original quote from 123gumby123 than from arcadeemulator.net for similar parts, even though the individual part prices were barely higher for the joysticks/buttons.  I saved a lot on shipping, and he threw the button wrench I requested in for free (which I wasn't expecting).  He even offered to help and answered the many questions I asked without trying to play up the more expensive products.  I got my stuff only a couple of days after it was shipped.  Overall it was a very good experience.

I'd stick with ebay guys with a deservedly good reputation like this.

I bought a bunch of items from tornado terry on ebay and he gets an A++.Fast shipping ,returned my email fast and is a great ebayer.I think the title of this thread should be changed to bad seller avoid like the plague.
