Title: Halloween Parties and Costumes!
Post by: Mr. Dude on October 05, 2004, 01:05:02 pm
My wife and I are going to go to a Halloween Party this year at a friends house and I want to have a cool costume that's original... not just some store bought lame one.  So I was wondering if any of you guys could suggest some cool ideas to dress up as?

Tron-Man has camel toe!!

Don't go as Tron-Man.  Camel toe is soooo uncool.

I'd get a pair of those hulk hands that make noise when you shash them down.  Oh wait... I have them already...  Then carve a hole in one to hold the beer glass.  Some green paint, hair dye, and some old drawers.  bling* bling*   H U L K    S M A S H       ARRRRRRR

I dressed up as Brandon Lee from The Crow.   Black clothes, white and black face paint, black fairly long hair.   Had to hire a wig and buy the face paint.  Nobody recognised me - not even my inlaws and some of my good friends.  Really freaked them out.  Will post a pic if I can find one.

I did the same thing, there were three crows at the party I went to.

I was the only one with the fatal gun shot wound.

Other costumes of mine.

Scorpion from MK

Bruce Willis in Pulp fiction, after he wakes up in the basement
(I had to go to several different shops to find the right ball gag.)

A woman breast feeding her child.

Last year I went as a mauled Roy, and my girlfriend was a white tiger.
(With Roy talking about it now, you could still do that this year)

I don't know what to wear this year, but I'm planning on going to a bar to see this poison tribute band 'Posin (http://www.posinweb.com/Tour.htm)' So I'm thinking it's going to be an 80's themed costume.

I've got a similar problem this year.  2 costume parties to go to, and no idea what to wear (has to be cool and original).  One of them is a Cult Classic costume party so you have to go dressed as a character from your favorite cult classic.

I have a few cool ideas in my head, but one problem is that I am currently giving having a beard a shot - and i dont want to have to start all over again!  So anyone have any ideas on some cool bearded characters from a cult classic?  Help me Obi-wan Kenobi!  Your our only chance!

Nope, non of the Star Wars stuff for me.  I don't want to be labeled as a "Geek"!

I do think I've found a possible solution though.  Would take a lot of work to make it good, but I might give it a shot if I can't (or you can't) come up with anything better.

If it helps, in Search for the Holy Grail, they didn't have acual chain mail, it was just loosely knit wool.

You don't want to be labled a "geek", but you'd consider going as a Monty Python character?  That's some sorta oxymoron.
