Title: Removing menu screens in Mamewah?
Post by: Scoobie on October 04, 2004, 10:48:09 pm
I would like to remove all menu screens in Mamewah so when others are playing my cab, they won't get confused with menu screens popping up as they press all the buttons.

I currently have "Locked" set to 1 and the menu screen does not come up when I press 2.  However even with this setting locked, the following menu screens come up with each action:

- "Select Emulator" menu opens when "z" is pressed (or player 1, button 5 on my     cp)
- "Select Games List" menu opens when "x" is pressed (or player 1, button 6 on        my cp)
- "Select Custom List to Add Game to" menu opens when "a" is pressed (or        player 2, button 1)

Is there a way to turn these off completely?

Thanks!

Scoobie,

In the Mamewah config file, set these actions to a key that is not mapped to one of your buttons.  They can't press it if it's not there  :)

you could change the settings in your ctrlr/default.ini file so that whatever menu screens you don't want are set to a button that you don't have on your CP... that would get rid of them for good.

However, wouldn't you at least want to get to them if you needed them?

This is what I was looking for, thanks!

I can scroll through my filtered game lists with my player 1 coin button , and change emulators with my player 2 coin button (although I might remap these now).  Everything else seems to confuse others playing.  Why is it that people like to pound on all the buttons?   :P
