Hi, Everytime I start up my machine it starts Arcadeos but without sound. I have to go into the arcadeos.cfg file and change my sound option from a '0' to '1' I then resave it, go back into Arcadeos and can play any game with sound. Once I shut my system down and start it up again there is no sound again until I edit my Arcadeos.cfg file again. I have to do this everytime I want to play! Does anyone know why it is not saving? What am I doing wrong?

is your question that you have no SOUND when you run a game ? or no sound in AOS ?
Now, here is a guess, you don't have sound when you run a game. So maybe you don't have the sound enabled in the INI file, go see if its set to "1", and maybe thats where AOS is getting it from and resetting it for you to "0".

I have no sound in Arcadeos at all...meaning I dont have the startup sounds or the sounds you get when you select a game either aswell as when I am actually playing a game until I edit the arcadeos.cfg file. Where do I find the INI file?

Ok, I've heard multiple complaints about ArcadeOS saving over settings - I can suggest a quick 'n dirty fix
first, copy the correctly edited arcadeos.cfg to a new directory, such as C:\BAK
Next, add the following line to autoexec.bat
COPY C:\BAK\ARCADEOS.CFG C:\ARCADEOS /Y
(The /Y denotes auto-overwrite, makes life simpler)
Bam! Everytime you restart the machine, you have the correct config file. Cheap, dirty, easy. Just the way I like 'em
