I have an old Thrustmaster T2 steering wheel and pedals (purely potentiometer setup, I believe) which has excellent reviews as far as feel / ergonomics / quality / etc.
I'd like to convert it to work on my PS2.
I'm assuming that I've got to add optical encoders to the wheel and change the wiring for the pedals (add a power supply maybe....?)
Anyone ever done anything like this? Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Whoa...
Short of replacing everything in the controller with like parts from a similar PS2 wheel I don't even think that would be possible. The Pelican Cobra TT wheel is usually pretty cheap and looks suitable for hacking up.
My suggestion is to maybe try the Logitech wheel? It's got great force feedback! It's also USB, so it works with your PC too!
It would be AWESOME if the Force Feedback worked with MAME, but no such luck there.
It does feel remarkably accurate on Outrun and Outrunners tho!
