Title: Questions regarding AdvanceMame
Post by: southpaw13 on September 30, 2004, 12:59:35 pm
Hello, I have two different monitors U3100 and D9200.  If I am going to use AdvanceMame do I still need to get an ArcadeVGA board?  Also, do I need to worry about dos drivers for audio and cd drives when using AdvanceMame?

Thanks for your help,
Southpaw

if using advmame there is no reason to have an arcadevga with either of those monitors.  I use linux with advmame so I can't help you with the dos questions.

But doesn't ArcadeVGA give you frequencies that are not attainable through AdvanceMame?

Thanks,

No.  Just pick a supported card and it will be able to output all frequencies that even the d9200 supports.  The arcadeVGA is the easy way to get standard resolution displays from your pc but it doesn't give you all the options that advmame will.  If you are using advmame you will be able to do the same things with a regular radeon 9200 that you would be able to do with the avga.

Where is the list of supported cards for a D9200?

Thanks,

I meant a supported card for advmame.  see here and click on the link for the operating system you will be using:
