Ive searched, and cant find anything. Since the search function here sux. :P
How do I get screenshots of my pc games to show up in my layout?
I have the artwork #1 image path to my snaps folder, wich has snaps of my games in png format. Right now, both the exe of the game, and the snap are the same. What should the snap be named? What settings am I forgetting, Im going nutz trying to figure this out. I can get my arcade, genesis, and super nintendo snaps to show up just fine. So what going on with my PC snaps. Could some one help me out with this? Thanks.

I presume your using MAMEWAH - stating that might help ;)
Firstly, you need shortcuts for each app. (exe file) - bung these in your rom_folder. Then the snapshots should be named the same as the shortcut (bar extension of course), and placed in artwork_1_image_path.
That is it. If you are using an old version of MW then I think there was a bug which might prevent snaps from showing, if there are any other similarly named files in your snap folder. Latest version works fine tho, I have it setup on my cab :)

I had the same problem with Mamewah on my Win98SE machine. The root cause was that paintx.dll didn't get registered when I loaded in the stuff provided in system.zip.
Turns out that my (perhaps all?) Win98SE fresh installation didn't have regsvr32.exe. I copied it from another machine, registered the DLL, and then the snaps correctly appeared.
Here's the thread I found when searching for a solution:

Yeah, heh. Im using mamewah. Great work on it btw min. ;) I am however using an older version 0.97 so I can use mamewah setup. Its not compatible with newer versions yet. I have my shortcuts to my games in a game shortcuts folder inside mamewah. Then inside that folder I have a snaps folder. But what you are saying is instead of calling it the snaps folder, it should be called the artwork_1_image_path folder? I already have the snaps named the same as my shortcuts, less the exe of course.
I.E.
The Simpsons Hit & Run.exe
The Simpsons Hit & Run.png
Right? Does the shortcuts folder have to be named rom_folder?

My instructions were for the latest MAMEWAH, but it still applies to some extent...
As I said you need *shortcuts* to each exe, don't use the exe files directly. Put these in your ROM Path, eg c:\shortcuts. Then put your images in your Artwork #? Path, eg c:\pcsnaps. I would recommend you DON'T put this image folder within the shortcut foler - I think MW had problems with this is some older versions.
Your filenames are fine tho, with the exception of the .exe files need to be .lnk files.

Ok did all that and its still not working. :'(
Heres my directory tree
C:\Program Files\Mamewah\Game Shortcuts\The Simpsons Hit & Run.lnk
C:\Program Files\Mamewah\Game Snaps\The Simpsons Hit & Run.png
Should I not have the folders inside mamewah? Is there a setting in mamewah, that Im missing somewhere.

*BUMP*
Any other ideas? :-\

I don't think it should matter, but try using short paths with no spaces, eg c:\shortcuts & c:\pcsnaps .
