Title: Oscar volume control parts

I'd like to implement Oscar's volume control solution, but need help finding two parts.

Where can I pickup a shaft coupler and a ball bearing?

I've found online sources for both, but they want five bucks to ship a $2 bearing, e.g.

I didn't see such parts at Home Depot.  Pointers appreciated.

I hear Ace Hardware carries bearings....
