Title: Screen Rotation for ExciteBike
Post by: Renegade on September 09, 2002, 09:47:18 am
I have a problem with rotating the screen 90 degrees for ExciteBike.  I use MAME32 0.58 and have a cocktail cabinet with the controls opposite the shoter sides of the monitor.

This means for most games I rotate the screen 90 degrees, and it works fine for them.

However, ExciteBike works fine in it's normal horizontal layout but when I rotate it the graphics get screwed up.  The time/fuel meter are all wacky as well as the biker.

Anybody know of a fix for this or am I just out of luck playing it on a cocktail?

Thanks.

upgrade your mame to .61. They changed to using hardawre blit rotate from your vidcard...that will solve this problem. Some drivers did not like the old way...vsnes.c and neogeo.c for example...
(If you want to use a mame before blit rotate wass added you can use advance mame. It has had this feautere for a very long time...)
