I have a kind of unique shaped marquee on my MAME cabinet, it was a Robocop, which had a rounded top so the plexi is curved and goes out in the middle. now if i order a marquee from say mamemarquees.com, do they send you just a vinyl piece youre supposed to put on your own plexi? or do they send you a full piece already on plexi? cause ive bougt some marquees on ebay for decoration and ive seen ones that are just sheets and some are 1 piece vinyl/plexi.
my original marquee piece is really old and peeling off the vinyl part would look like crap lots of little pieces would stay and id have to scrape em off, im better off with a new piece of plexi, i tried just using a straight piece and bending it in there but then the vinyl piece would have a air bubble cause if i ever removed it the plexi would bend right back to straight...

wheres paige when u need him, he knows this weird crap

Having gotten some printing from MameMarquee.
They send you the artwork printed on vinyl and you apply the artwork on the marquee plexi.

so umm what should i do?? is there a place where i can order plexi bent like that already? how would they know the exact angle though, cause my original marquee/plexi is too crappy to reuse...

You can go to a local plastics shop (a fabricator not just a supply shop, a lot are both), take your old marquee plex and have them copy it. They'll have all the bending equipment there.
It will probably cost you a few bucks, depending on how complex it is, but they can do it.

do you have a pic of your marquee?

I see it here... Hmm.. is it just curved or is it actual bent inwards? Similer to the Dragon's Lair Marquee?

I have that exact cabinet. Mine came with a marquee behind a thin piece of plexi. I'm not sure it is even correct to call it plexi, more like a plastic film.
I measured it and created my own marquee in photoshop and took it to Kinkos to have it printed on material that is made to be backlite. (I actually printed it out on a color printer, 2 sheets spliced together, and used that for a while and it looked decent)
I then installed it on my cab and placed the clear plastic over it. This is held in my a marquee retainer that is notched along its entire length so that it can follow the curve.
I had no need to sandwich my marquee like many people mention for their flat marquees because the curve keeps it in place.

yeah my marquee came different than yours, mine is some kind of sticker/vinyl stuck on the front of the plexi. if you try to peel it off its all like crappy underneath little pieces of silver sticker will stay on the plexi, and its not like i can scrape it with a razorblade to get it off or it will be all scratched up..
i guess i have to find some kind of place that makes plexiglass and can form me a piece matching my old one. what would that be under in the phonebook??

Either plastics suppliers or possibly sign shops.
