Hi all,
Getting back to working on my cab and am very interested to hear what settings others with a 19" PC monitor use for authenticity and performance. If you could please post your ini's so I can swap them out , compare the results to mine and pick something to go with that would be ideal.
My current settings below work well though all round though if I put triple buffering on to stop tearing etc then games like NBA Jam and upwards don't get the full frame rates :( Obviously this is undesirable.
The PC I have is an AMD 2400, 256MB, 40GB, on-board Realtek graphics 32MB (from memory), on board sound.

I messed around a long while trialing various changes but this seemed to be the winner. Surely I've missed something - I mean this PC should be able to handle triple buffering on most high end mame games right?
I hate to think a hardware upgrade is needed....hmmmm maybe this on board sound is my problem? Having it and the video built in must really hit performance.

Actually I think I tested all my various settings with and without sound but it was too long ago to remember if I got full frame rates without sound and with triple buffering on. Doh.
-
Hmmmm does nobody who uses similar setup's have a mame ini ::)
If anyone could post an ini or two I'd be grateful, regardless of monitor size, now i'm getting interested in the ini configuration all round.
C'mon guys it's simple cut and pasting!

Hi dear!
i have 19" PC monitor.At a time a don't have an ini file,But i have a windows mame32 ini..check it may be you
get some thing new....
I have intel original 1.0 ghz with intelD845GLAD board.
sound + vga builtinn and 256mb DDR ram.
It is quite perfect to run all games in mame excect of some
3D games due to mame bad 3d driver support.
