Title: Ping: Buddabing
Post by: chowny on September 27, 2004, 03:01:30 am
Hello

Concerned about that phantom Daphne listings bug you're getting in ArcadEPIC. Can you email me a directory listing of your Daphne Roms Directory? So I can try and duplicate it? Email to sdchown@yahoo.com or paste in here.

Will be fixing those other bugs today too..

Regards
 Stephen

Got it. Thanks. What are all those Zips then?

The problem I am facing here is there seems to be no MAME Gamelist equivalent in Daphne.

Fixed this problem (to an extent) and my question would be....

If I come across a ROM ZIP in the Daphne Roms folder that I can't redily identify. Do I

a) Ignore IT
b) Use the FILENAME and not the Rom Name?

Any thoughts?

Regards
 Stephen

I think some frontends use the frame files rather than the rom files to build the list of games. You might ask Minwah about that. The built-in FE for Daphne uses a hard-coded game list. That might be the way to go since there aren't that many games and Daphne is pretty stable.

That IS in fact the way I went. Which is what caused all this problem in the first place.
