Title: happ universal 8 ways

Hi all

quick query re the Happ universals (i know, i know, everyone says not to use them...) but i came by three 8ways for cheap.

from the Happ website, it looks as though the only difference between the 8way and 4way is a different mounting bracket and actuator -  i'm keen to swap my third 8way to a 4way, but I don't seem to be able just the "different" bits from Happ . . .

any ideas?

Um, I mean ULTIMATES  not univerals (doh!) - shoulda checked my names again --BINGO! Either that, or I was attempting to say "before" but it was too many letters to type-- I posted . . .

anyone with any ideas??

Don't know about Happs but Centsible Amusements has them for .89 ea (http://www.centsibleamusements.com)

You might as well just set Mame to only read up,down, left and right though as the actuator will still allow you to move diagonal.

You could just cut a diamond shape in your panel instead of a round hole and just restrict the movement, without the 4-way actuator.
