I have been on the phone every few days with the people from www.casinotech.com (the Betson American distributor). The model for the 19" exists but they keep telling me they can't find out about it as the main office is unresponsive. I would really like to pick up a 19" before winter kicks in. Any prospective 19" arcade monitors? This one sounded perfect in that it could handle all the modes, and it seems even vector games look OK on it. The u3100 seems to only do 640x480.
Anyone know of any?

I emailed betson.com. Also I heard back finally from casinotech.com. It seems that there is no such thing as a multi-sync 19" monitor. :(
Looks like I'm outta luck...

don't hold you breath on a Betson/Imperial 19" Multisnyc monitor, NO SUCH THING. The only 19" Multisysnc you will find is a NEOTEC, it just came out a couple of months ago. I was gonna for it but the Shipping the guy in NEOTECH was to much.
Even WG don't have a 19" Multisysnc, and even Hantarex drop the 19", only the 20/21" Hantarex.

I know neotec has had a multisync out for at least a year. Trisync they call it. But you have to change jumpers to switch between cga ega and vga. Do they have something different now introduced within the last two months?

Hmm, I wonder if you could rig up a circuit/switch to handle changing modes without having to go inside the cab? The only time I'd need VGA is for vector games.
Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to check that out.

That worries me that companies are favoring the larger monitors over the 19". I understand most new games have them so it makes business sense. But personally, I like the 19" size.
And you are correct. There is no multisync 19" form Betson. Their web site makes you think there might be one based on their model #s but after waiting almost 2 weeks to hear back, only the 27" is multisync. :(
I will check out the Neotec though, thanks...

I talked w/ the tech support folks @ Neotec and it seems that in addition to the jumper there are two separate cables. It's already sounding a little too complicated. The guy I spoke with made it sound like it was impossible to combine the functions of the cable into one cable. I wonder how they did it on the 9200.

Hehe, sorry about that. I did hound them only to find out the 19" doesn't exist. Now I'm thinking about the NeoTec Trisync. I was hoping to hold out until hearing from someone who has one.

you are tallking about this monitors right ?

the Neotec 500dxi.
I was asking about this before I was going to buy one but no response. Then i went ahead and call NEOTEC about it (I think it was the one in IL (not to sure now where) branch not the one in California (they only had 2 branch). The buy I spoke to told me that it was AUTO switching but the reason why I did not get it was the SHIPPING arrangement he uses and the PRICE of the shipping. I thik the Monitor was $320.00 whish is not too bad but the shipping was like $150.00. So i wish I live closer to that place then, but after long wait, I bought myself the 19" WG 7203 monitors.. fOR THE shipping of 2 Neotechs, gets me 1 WG monitor, thats how I looked at it. Good luck in your travel and like to hear from you about the NEOTEC if you decide to get one.

Thats one of the problems i had with neotec...its hard to get a straight answer from them. I was told you have to change jumpers. I really wish someone would get one so we know.

I had called the California office. You have to change jumpers to switch between CGA-EGA and VGA. It is autoswitching for CGA-EGA. In addition to the jumpers you have to use different cables for each so there are 2 things you would have to change. Sounds like a pain. :(
Why can't there be a multisync 19"? Bah
