Hello...Can anyone help me setup the controls for Karate Champ? I am using the most current version of MAME and am noticing in the control setup that there aren't enough "options" to configure my two joysticks to emulate the real arcade game. I need to be able to do: up/up, up/down, down/down and down/up and those options are not available, from what I can tell. I am probably missing something very simple on this one, but please help if can. Thanks

You use two joysticks for this game. Up/Up means both the 1st and 2nd joystick are up. If you want to do 2 players (which is a lot of fun) you need 4 joysticks. Yikes. :)

Yeah...I understand the movement of the joysticks and realize that I need 2 for one player and 4 for two player. However, my "Setup" only gives the options to configure for: Left/Up, Left/Down, Left/Left, Left/Right...Right/Up, Right/Down, Right/Left, Right/Right....There is no option to do Up/Up, Up/Down, Up/Left, Up/Right and Down/Up, Down/Down, Down/Left and Down/Right...That is where I need help.

When it says "Left up" that's the equivalent of the *left* joystick moving up. You don't have to do every combo. So there should be 8 entries. 4 for each joystick (per player)

Duh....
I knew it was something simple...I thought I had to program every combo...Thanks :-)
