I hacked an old PS/2 mouse to interface the Betson trackball in my CP, and it works great. However, I'd like to be able to also plug this CP into my laptop, which has no PS/2 port (everything else in the CP goes through an IPac/2 with USB cable). Has anyone used a USB to PS/2 converter for this, and if so, were there any issues with it (added latency, etc.)? The converter I'm considering is this one ($7.99 shipped):

BTW , What is that creature in your icon? I'm probably just not looking at it correctly but it appears to be a cat with a marsupial pouch and a ball nose.
What the hell is it! It's driving me nuts! I see it all the time!
Thanks,
Craig

Heh heh, that's our company mascot, the Boloney Beaver (http://www.boloneybeaver.com (http://www.boloneybeaver.com)). It's not a very good picture. It's a quick reference photo our 3D artist took 'cause we wanted the BB as one of the environment objects in one of our games (I work for a game studio). Since we already had the photo, I just sized it down for my avatar, but it's pretty hard to make out. It's basicly a flesh-colored beaver wearing big shades, a hooded sweatshirt, and some bling hanging on a chain around his neck. I really need to get a better photo sometime (not that the Boloney Beaver would make sense to anyone outside our office anyway).
