Can anyone tell me how to find all the ROM's that support working Cocktail Versions?
Sorry if this is a newbie question. With all the talk about Cocktails, I've been thinkin about building one and wanted to know what would be the best control setup to build. I know I won't be able to support all controllers for all games, but it would be nice to know what they are.
Thanks in advance!

Well, that's a tough question to answer. Not only do you have uprights like capcom bowling that were cocktail with screen fliping, you also have dedicated cocktail games like atari football.
Most people setup up their coctail with controls opposite each other on the virtical side. Then have 2 players side by side on the horizontal side. That should cover most everything. It'd take alot of money and some work to actually have 4 trackballs for games like atari football and atari soccer and 4 spinners for games likw warlords. So you might not catch all games to their fullest potential.
Now, my plan for my cocktail is removable control panels. They will have have a single USB cord coming out of them. So, say I have player 1 controls. I can then detacht he controls, unplug the USB from the vertical side and move it to the horizonal side. I am going to design it so it looks better when the controls are on the vertical side as there re not that many horizontal cocktail games, especially ones where players would sit across from each other. Space duel did but it can be played with players on both sides. I have my upright cabinet to two player games on the "same side". Actually thinking about it, my cocktail cab may only be vertical...

Check out this page, http://www.mame.net/gamelist.html, it has a column showing

That gamelist is funny, an dnot always accurate.
First, atari footbal and space duel have no screen flipping BUT that list says so. They were cocktail games though.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry, that was a stupid question. I should have found that myself.
I guess my next stupid question would be: Anyway to separate the Horizontal games from the Vertical games?
I would like to build a Vertical Cocktail and I would only want a list that would support that.
Thanks again.

If you havent' started yet... and idea that I LOVE (wish I had time to build a cocktail table).
on the two long ends you have single player controls for vertical games. Then on one of the two horizontal sides you have 2 controllers for horizontal games.
best of both worlds and it can still snug up next to a wall.
btw, many many games will play in a cocktail cabinet even if they don't switch. All 1 player games will work fine. Horizontal games will crop the top and bottom, but they will still run if you run windows and HWStretching. (otherwise you will have trouble finding some of the resolutions I would guess.... will shrink them down even more)
