Got some problems with the monitor or something. This is the picture I get. I tried horizontal and verticle hold and other adjustments. Any ideas?

Uhhh, ask yourself this... What does Vertical Hold do?
(Maybe this is a sign of my age... TVs and PC monitors these days don't have V Hold and H Hold anymore, do they)? OK I'll be nice then.....
What you're seeing is called "garbage". It has nothing to do with the monitor or monitor signal. What this is is a jumble of graphics that the game circuit board is outputting. That can mean several things:
1. Could be as simple as chips on the board not being properly "seated". By "seated" that means they are not fully and securely inserted in their sockets with the pins making proper contact.
2. Could be a defective chip (ram, rom, or even video or cpu) or even just a cut trace (a trace is the metal "lines" you see imprinted on circuit boards).

Yea, the horizontal and vertical holds won't do anything for you unless the picture is rolling. RayB is right, it looks like you are having a PCB problem of some sort.

Thanks for the input. As far as the chips on the board being properly "seated" , they are sodlered in place on the board not "pushed in". As far as the V hold and H hold goes, They might not have it on todays monitors ,but in the 70's they had it and there are adjustments for it. I have traced all the "metal lines" on the board , and they seem to be fine. I have found 3 resistors that do not have conductivity to them. I might have found the problem, now just have to replace them and see if that works. Wish me luck, if I cant get this figured out there could be a auction for the working parts....IE monitor, steering yolk, etc. OSG

Even with the chips being soldered in, cold solder joints can make that moot. Try pressing on the chips anyway. If you can do it with it running, you may be able to see where the problem is.
