Title: Mamewah nag screens removal
Post by: vettetek on September 12, 2004, 10:01:43 am
Ok,
Heres probably a easy one for you guys. I cant seem to locate the option to turn all the nags off in the NEW mamewah. It still has the "type ok" and load screens.
Im sure its a simple one that someone can set me straight on right away.
Also, Im having a problem getting a layover to appear correctly. Im using the "arcadia" one that has the background of an arcade machine and the marquees and screenshots appear in the appropriate locations. I can see the screenshots and marquees, and they DO change with game selection, and the layout is correct, but I cant seem to get the picture of the arcade game to appear! Im sure its a problem in my layover configuration, or location of the image files.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
~V

Hey
In the mame.ini  under EXECUTION SETTINGS---> DEFAULT OPTIONS just type the mame commands..

 -skip_disclaimer -skip_gameinfo

That gets ride of most.. once in awhile if a game has a problem it still has OK not sure how to get ride of that.

read layout.txt in the /docs folder.  There is a new naming structure for layouts.  Your background image has to be emuname.xxx now

run mame with the -cc parameter to generate the ini file.

But the one he is refering to as I now see is in your mamewah folder, than the INI folder. Thats if your using the new version.
