Title: FS: ActLabs TV Lightgun & Happs Shifter
Post by: Zathras on September 11, 2004, 07:26:17 pm
Since I'm running component out I couldn't ever find a way to switch to svid easily for light gun use - so I'm giving up.  So I've got a like new Actlabs tv lightgun.  Used probably about 30 minutes and it has been in a drawer since then - have the svideo to composite adapter and instructions (just not the original white box).

$37 shipped - SOLD

I've also got a Happs shifter with pushbuttonpic here. (http://www.thatinter.net/ebay/IMG_1230.JPG)  I bought it thinking ahead too far and I don't think I'll get around to that project for some time.  FYI when you press forward it hits one microswitch and reverse it hits another so it isn't pot based.  I believe it has been lightly used.

Best offer on that. - SOLD

Payment via paypal only please.

Let me know if you have any questions

I'm thinking of adding a racing setup for Pole Position/Super Sprint/etc., but I want to be able to do it rather easily.  I know I can just get a mouse hack from Oscar for a wheel, but could you please explain this shifter for me?  From a dumbed-down technical explantion, is this in essence 3 pushbutton inputs (Hi, Low, and the turbo button)? I can scrape together 3 button inputs from my mini-pac encoder if this is all it requires.

Thats it - it is essentially 3 microswitches (one up, one down and one for the thumb button).

Hi.  Got your e-mail and appreciate the info.  If you get an offer before I e-mail, that's cool, but it'll probably be a week or so before I really decide what I'm doing.  I've been thinking about this and this product exceeds what I had in my mind (Like the turbo button), but this project is based on me doing another project.  And I haven't been able to do a whole lot recently because of the hurricanes.  Charley's eye past a couple miles to the west and Frances and Ivan have kept me from worrying about things like this.  Plus I FINIALLY got cable reconnected on Saturday (Damaged from Charley) and the cable modem still isn't working (Repairman claims the modem is damaged, though I believe it's in the lines.)  Picking up a replacement from the offices today to humor myself.  So my research has been limited to dial-up for the last week (after 2 and 1/2 weeks of waiting with nothing).  I can't stand dial-up, so my online sessions are limited to very short bursts.  But I'll let you know one way or the other.

I'm not sure what happened on the above post, but in case it's still available, I'm out.  It's gonna be a bigger project than I though and it's for another day.

I received the shifter a few days ago, so unless he has more than one, he's out...
