Hey everyone, this queston is directed to the ArcadeVGA owns out there with a standard resoultion monitor. I belive I have my card hooked up correctly, I can see the Bootup screen, and when it enters Windows XP, but for some reason I cant seem to use the sync on the back on the monitor correctly. The picture just will not correct itself.
I have a 19" inch Wells Gardner 7000 series. I also am using the Ultimarc Video Amp, anyone think they can help??

Its not that the knobs for the Sync/Position wont work, just the picture will not be corrected the way its suppose to look.
-
I also only have the R,G,B and H Sync connected.

You have to combine V sync and H sync onto the -H sync pin on the chassis. And don't forget to hook up ground. You didnt' mention that you had your ground wire hooked up.
Are you seeing Virtical rolling in games, but not on your windows desktop? Can you adjust the virt roll to make it stop, but when you switch back to the desktop it starts rolling again? You hve to use a resolution that is of the same frequency on both. Check out MameWah's arcadeVGA INI creator. This will set the proper resolutions for every Mame game automatically. This will stop the virt rolling that I think you're seeing....

Hmm...I tried this...I ended up hooking the H Sync to the +H Sync and the V Sync to the +V Sync. It seems to give me a much much less scrambled picture. I dont know if it's because I'm using Windows XP with Service Pack 2, but i wont let me install those friggin ArcadeVGA drivers!! I even went into safe mode, removed the installed radeon 7000 drivers windows installs. I try to install it, it says Direct8 isnt installed, wtf?? Someone point me in the right direction, plus when I go into Safe mode or normal windows instead of getting the 16 colors thing, it says im only getting 4 colors, whats up with that, is it because I'm hooking up the Syncs to the + instead of the - ???
P.S. : Yes, I also hooked up the ground. ;)

Alright, I totally fixed the sync problem!!! I hooked up the V Sync to the + V Sync on the Chassis and the H Sync to the - Hysnc on the Chassis, no more scrolling, but still how do I install these drivers. I went into safe mode, someone walk me through how they did it. Im using Windows XP Pro w/Service Pack 2, btw.

The correct connections for separate synds are both on the negative.
There should be no problem with installing the drivers in safe mode. I would need to know at what point the install is failing and any error messages etc. Probably best done via email.
