Title: My Free TV set arrived today!
Post by: GreenKnight37 on September 09, 2004, 07:58:47 pm
I know not everyone follows the TV/iPod/PC thread, so I just wanted to post a quick announcement....my TV arrived!

There are pictures on page 3 of the sticky for the topic.  I'd paste a direct link to my pics...but I can't seem to find a direct link to my latest reply.  Maybe this forum system doesnt allow though...oh well.  Pictures are there if you're curious! :)

As long as you get the referrals it will work :)

It can be a little slow to get them though(it took me about 3 weeks for the TV set, compared with 4 days for the iPod), but if you have some patience it can be done!

I thought this only worked for the first 200 people or something like that...

I think this system is actually a bit different. It's all based on referrals. Plus, you don't pay money. You just get other people to sign up for free stuff. So YOU are only resposible for YOUR OWN referral and as long as you get them, you get the free TV.

My Free TV arrived today!

I uploaded some photos, take a look at my post in the Free TV/iPod/PC thread HERE (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=6;action=display;threadid=23742;start=msg204476#msg204476).

For those not following my progress, FedEx delivered a broken TV last Tuesday, I bitched and moaned to Sony on Friday and got this replacement today (Monday)!!!!

Did Sony not want to replace the TV set, or did they want to take longer to ship the RMA to you?  Not quite sure why you had to complain to Sony for the replacement...

Sony told me that I couldn't send the TV back via FedEx and that I'd have  to use some strange shipping company that would call me. When the shipping company called (3 days later than I requested) they said that they could only pick it up between 9am and 11am; and I'm not taking time off work to have my broken free TV picked up. That's why I had to complain, eventually I talked them into letting me ship it by FedEx and brought the TV to the depot at the same time as picking up the replacement.  ;D

Ahh..OK.  That makes more sense now.  I was afraid I was going to get a busted TV, and Sony wouldn't want to replace it.  Glad to hear it all worked out in the end for you though, hopefully I'll have my own here in a week or so...
