Does anyone have any info on using an Ultimarc IPAC with the old Atari volcano buttons? If I wanted to do that, am I going to need the LED harness that Ultimarc sells? Also, I don't know what the voltage is on those volcano buttons. Will I need a resistor in there to make it work with it? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Search the board on Volcano. Pretty sure OSCAR had some good info. As I recall, those are acutally incandescent bulbs, and a straight I-PAC won't work with it. You could maybe use some type of driver circuit or you could convert the volcano's to 5V leds (or 2.1V LEDs with a resistor).

From all the threads, it sounds like the volcano buttons have LEDs in them.
What size resistor will I need to be able to use the IPAC with them? Alternatively, what are the voltage and current ratings on the LEDs? I don't have them in hand yet so I can't look and see if they're marked.

There's a couple threads here that covered it... but there seems to be a little bit of a disagreement on the exact resistor to use. I think 330 is what you should be using.
I will be doing the same as you, but have not yet done it. All I know is after researching it, I settled on 330. But who knows if I'm making a mistake........

I have done this. You need to take the +5V from the i-pac and run it through a 330 resistor to the switch.
There is a thread about it here (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=4338), where OSCAR schools me on how to make it work.
