Title: Help with testing a PCB with a computer suppy.

I have a moon patrol that I think the power board is bad on, and I intend to rebuild it.  But before I do I  know you can buy switchers for them which is basically a fancy computer power supply and I've even seen computer ones modified to power them. I want to use an old power supply to test the boards to make sure they work before I invest the time in fixing the power supply.  Does anyone know how to do this, or know of a online tutorial?

Also I've found countless online material talking about fixing and repairing the supply boards in early williams games, but not a decent one that talks about moon patrol and similar games.
