5, Toni Basil   :   Micky
6, J. Geils Band   :  Centerfold
7, Billy Joel   : Uptown Girl
8, Blondie    :   Call Me
9, Lipps Inc.   :   Funkytown

lol thats pretty funny, they do the same thing in the "retro" section of this arcade i go to. theres a big back room dimly lit with some black lights and stuff, and they play 80s music and have 80s movie posters like breakfast club and back to the future on the walls, its pretty cool

Twisted Sister: We're not gonna take it
Iron Maiden: Run To The Hills
Van Halen: Jump
Alice Cooper: Schools Out
Dead Kennedys: I fought the law
Iggy Pop & The Stooges: Lust for life
Alice In Chains: Rooster
Metalica: Sanitarium
Red Hot Chili Peppers: Under The Bridge

Just a few that I remembered from the 80's. I won't feel hurt if you don't add them. Just venting :p

I thought it would be a good idea too.  Although I'm not sure how to implement the way I want to do it.  Maybe Minwah could add this to Mamewah???

Here's my thread on the subject: http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=24404

I'd like the music to be chosen by year field in the ID3 tags.

I'm going to go anti-establishment and anti-PC

Circle Jerks - Patty's Killing Mel

How can you hate a band with a name like that?

Also

The Church - Fire Woman
The Scorpions - Blackout
Ratt - You Think You're Tough (although pick any of their hits, I liked 'em all)
Def Leppard - Pyromania
Van Halen - Panama
Sweet - Ballroom Blitz (that was Sweet, right?)
Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast
Ozzy - Crazy Train (take your pick off of Blizzard Of Ozz)
Billy Thorpe - Children Of The Sun
Billy Squire - Everybody Wants You
Dio - The Last in Line, Holy Diver
Dokken - Tooth and Nail
AC/DC - TNT (but take your pick of whatever else)

That's what I've got off the top of my head.

I wish I was born like 5-10 years earlier.  I was born in '83 and was not quite old enough to hang out in the arcade while they were still cool like that.

When I build my own house some day the basement is going to have and arcade all (whattever the word for PIMPED OUT was back in the '80s)!  Yea, that's going to be cool.

Yes, Hot for teacher is classic.

But the whole song would be a little much for bg music, wouldn't it?

You think they were once cool?

Does this mean Woodstock wasn't as cool as I thought it was?
