Title: where to get a roll of oak lamintae in the uk?
Post by: keltech on September 08, 2004, 04:47:55 am: does anyone know where i can get cheap roll of oak laminate in the UK? I want to stick it over the sides of my cocktail cab i'm building.

i've bought my stuff on a roll from B&Q... not sure what sizes and stuff thay have though :)

i went to B&Q but couldn't see it anywhere , i will check again maybe the kitchen section

I gave it a miss and went for happ black vinyl (because it has leather like texture and assumed it to be more hard wearing for use on CP). its pretty good stuff.

Happ also do wood effect vinyls - think the Presidential Walnut Vinyl is exact match for original pacman cocktail cabs.

Post by: rchadd on September 08, 2004, 07:37:59 am: assume you want to cover your cab. i did consider same approach but in end went for oak veneered MDF instead (got it from a local kitchen firm) - looks really nice now is been varnished.
