how much room does the gym take?  How much weight is on it?

 it is 2 1/2'W x 5 1/2'L and with the bench set up it is 9 1/2' long and it has 8 plates on it which i think are 20 lbs a peice.

Is it easy to hook the bench up somehow so that it could be set up only when used?

yes that is the way i have always kept it. it only takes 10-20 seconds to hook up the bench. the auction is over but if you want it you can have it for the opening bid of $99. let me know if you want it so i dont relist it.
